2010 - 2010 Youth Media Engagement Programme.

Creating online and physical spaces for young people to learn with friends, realise latent talents, have their voices heard and presence felt.

Working in partnership with the National Media Museum to orchestrate disparate cohorts into collaborative communities of enquiry.

 

2009 Award received from Serco and the Department of Health and Economic Wellbeing for 'outstanding services to Education and Young People'.

 

2008 – present Networth 'ignite the desire to learn'.

Working with Creative Partnerships Bradford, CapeUK, Apple, NTi Leeds and Leaving Care Services, Networth was established to provide a collaboration toolset capable of supporting an open-source learning community.

Since 2008, Networth has evolved into a capable and fully featured collaboration service that brings people together in a simple, empowering and scalable way. There are no costly set-up charges, zero to low ongoing subscription fees, usage is unlimited in every way and there are no contractual tie-ins. Users can get going in minutes and stay for as long as they wish.

 

2008 – 2008 Chair of the Creative and Media Vocational Diploma Employer Engagement Forum. Charged with leading the group and their efforts to define the employer engagement strategy.

 

2006 – 2008 Regional Head of Development (RHD) for the Design Business Association (DBA), the UK's trade association for the design industry based in London. Stepped down as RHD in May 2008 having worked for two years with DBA President and Elmwood Managing Director Nick Ramshaw to coordinate business support provisions to creative businesses located within the UK's North East.

2003 – 2007 Chairman of Bmedia the fast growing business network for the creative and digital industry - stepped down in November 2007 having served as Chairman for a period of 5 years. During this time Bmedia made the challenging transition from being a funded (£350,000) entity to a self-sustaining membership network capable of leveraging a membership of 700 companies (primarily 1-10 employees) and a community of 1,300 people in order to attain financial sustainability.

Today, Bmedia is the only remaining independent network from the list of several networks to have received Seed Funding from Yorkshire Forward.

Having achieved financial sustainability within three very short years, Bmedia looks set to continue to grow and benefit regional businesses for the foreseeable future.

2002 – 2007 Founding director of Bmedia, a company formed to act as the accountable entity to Bradford Council for £350,000 funding over 3 years from Yorkshire Forward.

 

1999 – 2002 Active participant of the steering groups set-up by Yorkshire Forward and Bradford Council to investigate the feasibility of the Digital Cluster concept taken from the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) Document.
